The Panasonic LUMIX S1 is the latest in Panasonic’s offerings. It is a full frame camera, aimed at advanced photographers, while also being able to capture high-quality 4K videos. Already during the announcement, Panasonic promised a new firmware update that will enhance the video capabilities of the new camera, though the company did not give an exact timeframe for its delivery. Now, it is scheduled for July this year.
I have already reviewed the new Panasonic LUMIX S1 camera and was fairly impressed by its lowlight capabilities and general picture quality (take a look at our findings and footage here). But, as we all learned to want the little bit extra, now the promised upgrade is just around the corner, soon unlocking the following functions:
It will be interesting to test the camera again, after unlocking those. There is no word yet on how much the upgrade will cost.
