We were at the Panasonic Press Event at NAB 2017. Here is the full video!

Here’s what we learned:

Panasonic is introducing several new products. The most interesting announcement is one of a new small cinema camera (RELATED ARTICLE HERE). Unfortunately for now all we got to see was an outline of the product to come. The product will be released in the fall and we will find out more about it over the next several months. We can assume thought that we’re looking at a Sony FS5 sized cinema camera, filling the gap between the Panasonic GH5 and Varicam line.

Another interesting product we heard about was the announcement of a new 4K “actioncam” called “AG-UMR20 / AG-UCK20 Compact Camera Combo”. The camera is tethered to an external recorder which could be an indication that it allows you to acquire high quality shots in an extremely small form factor.

Also new from Panasonic is the AU-XPD3 P2 Drive that will finally be ready for shipping in June after its introduction last year. Read all about it here!
