RESOLVECON 2021 is a free seven-hour-long educational live stream that will take place on Casey Faris’ Youtube channel tomorrow, on Friday, September 24th, 2021 between 8 am and 3 pm PST. Along with five other presenters, Casey will cover all pages of DaVinci Resolve 17.
When it comes to quick tutorials for anything related to software or hardware, YouTube has become a very useful platform over the past years. With DaVinci Resolve, the increasingly popular NLE from Blackmagic Design, the situation is no different. On top of Blackmagic Design’s official educational resources and some other paid courses such as this one, you can find tons of free tutorials and courses for Resolve on YouTube.
I switched to Resolve as my main editing software around three years ago and usually when I search for “How to do this or that in Resolve” I get multiple different video tutorials on Youtube on how to do that exact thing.
Casey Faris is one of the creators who has been uploading useful Resolve tutorials on Youtube for years. Through his website Ground Control, he also sells DaVinci Resolve courses and other assets. Why do I write about him? Interestingly enough, tomorrow, Casey is hosting an online event (live stream) called RESOLVECON 2021 focused at DaVinci Resolve 17 education. Let’s take a short look at what is coming.
The RESOLVECON 2021 live stream will take place directly on Casey’s Youtube channel on Friday, September 24th, 2021 between 8 am and 3 pm PST. That means in total seven hours of educational content for DaVinci Resolve 17.
The live stream is free of charge and Casey will not be the only educator there. He invited five more YouTube colleagues who produce educational content for Resolve. Each of them will focus on a different page and a different topic in Resolve.
The schedule of the RESOLVECON 2021 will look like this:
As Casey announced, there will be free giveaways for software, training, assets, and more during the live stream. In case you can’t attend it live, the stream will be recorded and the video will later be available as VOD on Casey’s channel.
Do you use DaVinci Resolve for your post-production work? Where do you get the knowledge and training from? Do you use YouTube to get tips on certain techniques in Resolve? Let us know in the comments section underneath the article.
