SANDMARC has just released a new 58mm telephoto lens for iPhone smartphones. This lens comes with an included iPhone case and gives you a 2x magnification ratio. So let’s take a closer look at it!
SANDMARC is a San Diago-based company specializing in photography gear for iPhone, DJI, GoPro, and, more recently, DSLR/Cinema cameras. The company recently introduced a Motion Dolly for iPhone/GoPro cameras and in case you missed it, I already reviewed their Motion Pro variable ND filter.
SANDMARC already has an entire range of additional lenses for iPhone smartphones, but with the recent launch of the iPhone 14/14 Pro, they went back to the drawing board to improve their 60mm telephoto lens. The result is a new 58mm telephoto lens with improved optics and an included Pro case.
The SANDMARC 58mm telephoto is an add-on lens that goes in front of your iPhone’s built-in cameras. To do so, the lens comes with a new Pro iPhone case. You’ll need to choose the proper case for your smartphone, from the iPhone 7 to the latest 14 Pro Max.
The telephoto lens’ housing is made from aluminum, so it should easily survive your daily adventures. According to the company, this new lens is sharper, has better color rendition, improved edge-to-edge resolution, and is less prone to chromatic aberrations. Furthermore, it features premium multi-coated & multi-element glass.
With a weight of only 61g/2.1oz, it won’t add much weight to your smartphone. Lastly, the telephoto lens system includes a clip-on mount compatible with other SANDMARC smartphone filters.
The SANDMARC 58mm telephoto lens is available now for $129.99.
For more information, please visit SANDMARC’s website here.
What do you think about this new telephoto iPhone lens? Do you often use additional third-party lenses on your smartphone? Don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments down below!
