TEAMGROUP has announced the release of the PD20 Mini External SSD, a portable, compact, high-speed data transfer device with 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB storage capacity options. Plus, it is so light and portable that you can attach it to a backpack or a bag using the strap hole on the device itself. Let’s have a look!
TEAMGROUP is a Taiwanese company specializing in storage solutions. We recently reviewed their T-CREATE CinemaPr P31 Portable SSD, which is aimed at filmmakers. Now, let’s look at the PD20 Mini External SSD. Designed for professionals, travelers, and anyone frequently on the move, it’s super lightweight and fits in the palm of your hand.
The PD20 can transfer up to 2,000 MB/s, and its USB 3.2 Gen2 x2 Type-C interface lets you connect to most devices. Its storage capacity ranges from 1TB to 4TB, and at only 22 grams, it fits in the palm of your hand and can be easily attached to a bag or backpack.
The company has focused on function as well as style. The PD20 has IP54 dust and splash resistance certification and a silicone cover design for the Type-C port, so your data will remain protected if you get caught in light rain or find yourself in a dusty environment.
The PD20 Mini External SSD will be available in August 2024, and we will update this article with prices as soon as we have that information. For more information, you can check out the TEAMGROUP website.

A camera was put in my hands at 16, and I’ve been taking photographs ever since. An American, I’ve lived and worked in Vienna for many years both as a photographer and a photography teacher. Currently I am the photographer for the award-winning Nesterval immersive theater group. I’m a teller of stories. Stories hold my interest. I’ll take on any project with a story to tell.
