Director Jeremy Ian Thomas from Hdi RAW Works posted behind the scenes accounts of his short film “The Chrysalis”. The film was meant to showcase the image quality of the Canon 7D paired with Zeiss ZE primes and support from Litepanels and Red Rock Micro. The budget for the short was a mere one thousand dollars used mostly for food and lodging for the cast and crew. The film was shot in Death Valley, California in just two days. Jeremy petitioned Canon, Zeiss, Red Rock Micro and Litepanels for free gear. He posted a bunch of behind the scenes videos and commentary on his blog.
