Godox has introduced a new series of LED light panels to their lineup aimed at content creators and vloggers: the LP Series, which includes Litemons LP400R/Bi, LP600R/Bi, and LP1200R/Bi LED Light Panels. The LP Series is available in both RGB and Bi-Color options, each with a nice balance of features and output levels to meet diverse lighting needs. All feature high brightness with soft, diffused light and offer a variety of color modes and effects. So, let’s have a look!
Godox is well-known in the industry for their audio and lighting solutions. Only recently, they released the Godox Magic XT1 Wireless Microphone System, the Godox ML100Bi Portable LED Video Light, and the Godox Cube-S Wireless Mic System. Now, they’re continuing to expand their lighting catalog with the versatile and budget-friendly LP Series of LED light panels.
The Godox LP Series offers a high level of versatility, both in features and portability. Deciding between models ultimately comes down to your specific needs and intended use. The Litemons LP-R Series LED Panels offer precise color control and creative lighting effects, whereas the LP-Bi Series is suited for environments where accurate and adjustable white light is needed.
The differences between the models themselves are mainly their power and corresponding size. The LP400R/Bi, LP600R/Bi, and LP1200R/Bi output 36W, 60W, and 120W, respectively. Each light comes in two versions: the R (RGB), with a CCT range of 1800K—10000K, and the Bi (Bi-Color), with 2800K—6500K. Panel brightness is adjustable from 0% to 100%, and diffusion is built in. Note that to further refine the light, a 4-leaf barndoor is also included. The size and weight of the light panels are as follows:
The LP Series LED panels offer flexible power options, which make them suitable for a wide range of shooting situations without being constrained by power limitations. In addition to the AC cable, NPF batteries can also power the LP400R/Bi and LP600R/Bi, and the LP1200R/Bi supports NPF and V-mount batteries. The lights operate within a temperature range of 14 to 95°F (-10 to 35°C) and are designed for easy transport in a molded, shockproof carrying case, which is included.
The lights’ color accuracy is rated by the company at 96 for both CRI and TLCI standards. In addition, there is a green-to-magenta shift for color correction. Eleven lighting effects are available for the LP-R Series, with 14 available for the Bi-Color.
The light panels can be controlled locally or via Bluetooth by using the Godox Light App on a smartphone (up to a distance of 14.99m/49.2 ft). On the back of the light, a screen provides essential information, such as color temperature, brightness, etc.
The Godox LP Series of LED Light Panels are available for pre-order and can be purchased as a single kit or in kits with either two or three lights.

A camera was put in my hands at 16, and I’ve been taking photographs ever since. An American, I’ve lived and worked in Vienna for many years both as a photographer and a photography teacher.
