Today is Halloween, so we figured it’s time to show you some gear from Transylvania!Sergiu Barsan, a filmmaker from Romania got in touch with us to share his “SmoothCam PRO DSLR” rig with us. It’s nice to see enthusiastic filmmakers realize their own visions. It’s made out of PVC (!) with rubber handles, and has a quite massive looking cage, with a shoulder pad made from leather. Considering it’s made of PVC it’s surely much lighter than it looks.
It’s nice to see that in times like these, filmmakers strive to produce their own solutions – and the internet is empowering people even in such remote locations such as Transylvania.
At $329, the rig is definitely affordable for beginners – check it out on their website.
What’s your take on this?
Happy Halloween everyone!
