SANDMARC, the American company specialized in GoPro/smartphone/mirrorless camera accessories, has just released the Motion Dolly. This portable, lightweight manual dolly is made of aluminum and has a maximum payload capacity of 300g/0.66lbs. Let’s take a closer look at this new tool that adds movement to your iPhone or GoPro footage!
For a couple of years now, the team at SANDMARC has been developing quality third-party accessories for smartphone filmmakers like their anamorphic lens for iPhones. Recently, the company launched its Motion Pro variable ND filter that I reviewed here.
SANDMARC is now entering the camera movement market with their new lightweight Motion Dolly for iPhone and GoPro cameras.
The Motion Dolly is a very compact (2.7″x5″x1″ / 6.8×12.7×2.5cm) tool to move your iPhone/GoPro camera on flat surfaces and create more cinematic shots.
It is fully made of aluminum and has a weight of 368g/0.81lbs and a maximum payload capacity of 300g/0.66lbs.
The carriage has four built-in wheels with rubber bands to help smooth out minor ground imperfections. When the two parts of the carriage are straight, you can create linear left/right or front/back dolly shots. Furthermore, you can adjust the carriage angle to make circular movements.
The SANDMARC Motion Dolly comes with a lightweight ball head, an iPhone mount, and a GoPro mount. You can use it out of the box without purchasing any additional accessories.
The SANDMARC Motion Dolly is available now for $89.99.
For more information, please visit SANDMARC’s website here.
What do you think about the Motion Dolly for iPhone/GoPro cameras? Do you think it could be a helpful addition to your everyday backpack? Don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments down below!
