There are lots of interesting deals for filmmakers available this week. We have selected the best 10 offers of filmmaking gear, from our partners’ online shops, including Panasonic cameras, Porta Brace bags, Rosco gels and more.
I went through the deals on our partners’ websites and selected the top 10 offers currently available, which I think could be interesting for you. The B&H offers are listed first – for our readers based in the US – and then there are a couple of deals from our European partner CVP. By shopping at our affiliate partners’ stores you are supporting cinema5D through our buy links, as we get a small affiliate commission when a purchase is completed.
Now, let’s take a look at this week’s top 10 deals for filmmakers:
This little USB-C to USB-A adapter is a must-have accessory to carry in your bag for your MacBook Pro. Moshi is well-known for making beautiful quality products, and this adapter is no exception.

This lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras is one of Panasonic’s cheapest prime lens. However, don’t underestimate this bad boy: With an F1.7 aperture, it’s quite a fast lens, and due to the crop factor of Micro Four Thirds cameras, it’s a perfect 50mm equivalent (on full frame cameras). I personally own this lens and I can’t recommend it enough – it’s a great lens if you’re starting out with a Panasonic GH5/GH5S.

Porta Brace has been the industry standard for years and the quality of their bags is amazing. This bag is made of Cordura 1000D nylon and will last for a very long time. It will be perfect for carrying small lights or grip equipment, as it features a spacious main compartment with dividers. Additionally, there is a large pocket in the front, and a full-length rear zip pocket.

A sweet discount on SmallHD’s famous 5″ Focus Monitor that comes with a Sony L battery, a Canon LP-E8 dummy battery and all the HDMI to Mini-HDMI/USB/battery charger accessories you’ll need. The Focus monitor is a daylight-viewable monitor, with a touchscreen display that offers a lot of features – especially for that price – including a Waveform Monitor/False Color/Vectorscope and you can also load 3D LUTs.

Finally, this Panasonic G7 + 14-42mm lens bundle is an absolute steal! The small camera is a fantastic still and video mirrorless camera on its own, and a great B-Roll unit if you already have a GH5. It records 4K up to 30 frames per second and HD up to 60 fps, you can plug a microphone in the 3.5mm jack input, making it a perfect Vlogging camera. It comes with a versatile standard zoom, the Lumix G Vario 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 II ASPH. MEGA O.I.S. that features image stabilization.

You can’t have enough gels in your kit. CVP is offering a discount on a lot of different types of gel rolls, from Diffusion to Frost to CT Correction gels.

The Kessler Crane Pocket Jib Traveller has been out for a while now, but it’s still one of the most compact yet scalable jibs in the market. It is 27 inches long when collapsed, and extends to 72 inches when fully open. It is very light and can carry nearly all DSLRs.

If you are searching for an affordable, high-resolution EVF, the F&V SpectraHD viewfinder might be perfect for you. It has HDMI in and out with loop-through plus SDI in and out with loop-through. You can even convert from HDMI sources to an SDI output. The supplied loupe converts this monitor into an EVF. The SpectraHD 4 is packed with software features such as vectorscope, focus peaking, histogram and false color. It also has adjustable frame guides.

For this one, I decided to think outside the box. Even if you don’t own a Canon C100, it’s a really good deal, as the Zacuto VCT Pro Baseplate included in this kit costs over €600 on its own. In the end, you are saving nearly €300 when getting this awesome baseplate from Zacuto.
Buy link: Zacuto C100 Z-Finder Recoil Was: €839.18 Now: €335.67 (Savings: €503.51)
